Zheng He's voyages to the Western Sea are great diplomatic undertakings in the history of China. 600 years ago, a gigantic fleet composed of more than 200 ships and 27,000-28,000 crews under the leadership of Zheng He set out for western countries, which marked the beginning of the unprecedented series of voyages in the world maritime history. Zheng He and his crew visited more than 30 countries and started the dialogue and exchange of civilizations between China and these countries. Zheng He's voyages declared the commencement of the great era of navigation.
Zheng He's western voyages are the earliest and vastest marine cause of the largest scale and most advanced technology in the world's maritime history. The voyages were almost a hundred years earlier than those of Vasco da Gama, Christopher Columbus and Ferdinand Magellan. In addition, Zheng He's fleets were several times that of the latter, with crews tens and hundreds times more.
Nowadays, valuable relics left over by Zheng He can still be found in many East Asian countries and his voyages have exerted a far-reaching influence on the local residents.
On July 11, 1405, Zheng He was sent as an envoy by Emperor Yongle (Zhu Di) of the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644) to the western countries. Zheng He commanded eight great expeditions between 1405 and 1433, with Suzhou, Jiangsu Province as his invariable starting point. During the 28 years, his fleets had been to Southeast Asia as well as West Indian Ocean and had sailed as far as the coast of the Red Sea and the east coast of Africa. More than 30 countries were visited, including Java, Sumatra, Cambodia, India, Sri Lanka etc. Zheng He offered largesse to the kings he visited in token of amity. Silk, porcelain, bronze and iron wares, gold, silver and other handicrafts carried along by the fleets were traded for exotic specialities. Officials kept record of news during their stay in those countries. At the departure of the fleets, envoys were sent by the kings to present treasure and special local products to the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty and trade with Chinese merchants. The friendly exchanges enlarged trade, and promoted mutual understanding between China and these countries as well.

In Malacca

When Melaka was successively colonized by the Portuguese, the Dutch, and later the British, Chinese were discouraged from converting to Islam. Many of the Chinese Muslim mosques became San Bao Chinese temples commemorating Zheng He. After a lapse of six hundred years, the influence of Chinese Muslims in Malacca had almost disappeared. ^[26]
According to the Malaysian history, Sultan Mansur Shah (ruled 1459–1477) dispatched Tun Perpatih Putih as his envoy to China and carried a letter from the Sultan to the Ming Emperor. Tun Perpatih succeeded in impressing the Emperor of Ming with the fame and grandeur of Sultan Mansur Shah. In the year 1459, a princess Hang Li Po (or Hang Liu), was sent by the emperor of Ming to marry Malacca Sultan Mansur Shah (ruled 1459–1477). The princess came with her entourage of five hundred male servants and a few hundred handmaidens. They eventually settled in Bukit Cina, Malacca. The descendants of these people, from mixed marriages with the local natives, are known today as Peranakan: Baba (the male title) and Nyonya (the female title).
In Malaysia today, many people believe that it was Admiral Zheng He (died 1433) who sent princess Hang Li Po to Malacca in year 1459. However there is no record of Hang Li Po (or Hang Liu) in Ming documents, she is known only from Malacca folklore. The so-called Peranakan in Malacca were probably Tang-Ren or Hui Chinese Muslims who came with Parameswara, the founder of Malacca, from Palembang, Java and other places as refugees of the declining Srivijaya kingdom. Some of the Chinese Muslims were soldiers and served as warriors and bodyguards to protect the Sultanate of Malacca.
In 1411, Admiral Zheng He brought Parameswara, his wife and 540 officials to China to pay homage to Emperor Yongle. Upon their arrival, a grand welcoming party was held. Animals were sacrificed, Parameswara was granted a two-piece gold-embroidered suit of clothing with dragon motifs, Kylin robe, gold and silverware, silk lace bed quilt, and gifts for all officials and followers. Upon returning home, Parameswara was granted a jade belt, brace, saddle, and coroneted suit for his wife. Upon reaching the heaven’s gate (China), Parameswara was again granted a jade belt, brace, saddle, a hundred gold & platinum pieces, 400,000 banknotes, 2600 cash, 300 pieces of silk brocade voile, 1,000 pieces of silk, two pieces of whole gold plait, two pieces of knee-length gown with gold threads woven through sleeves…. On his return trip from China, Parameswara was so impressed by Zheng He that he adopted the name Sultan Iskandar Shah. Malacca prospered under his leadership and became a half-way port for trade between India and China.

Design method 1_ A graphic for a song

The song i choose was ‘你是我的眼’——带我领略四季的变换, i use montage ( cut out part of some images and paste together ) to present my graphic .
I hope to bring the meaning of the song , u lead me to see the change of four season by pieces and pieces , like a picture puzzle , thus my eye i make it look like collage that is paste one by one by using color rather than image due to make it difference with other ( my main object ).

~ 1st try

I use 8 images that find from internet to do the montage , a advertising design for the sony monitor (school assigment) , headline is ' seeing is believing ' . I trace the sony logo in illustrator and the other images are trace in photoshop . The final outcome will be duotone (cyan and black ) .

~2nd try

The previous design overall didn't have the a focus point of the graphic , so i arranged to focus on the eye and other will be at behind in lower opacity . At the white bar i added some line effect on it .

Finally i get a tablet for myself , the screen is quite sensitive and i still can't control it properly = =''. Need more practice lo.....
I use it for my flash animation (assignment) , better than using mouse but still can't fulfil my request ...

Why do you want to use flowchart in your mobile interface design and screen interface design?

We need flowchart is due to it is a map or true guide in task process. It show us a glance view of all our decisions . Set out all the solution in flowchart and it make us easier to understand the decision made and what other next step we should go.

Flowchart actually start at the top and end / exit at the bottom (round shape), there will be decision making(diamond shape ) such as a question ... answer yes or no , true or fault , between that it will be a arrow show us where should we go,when decision made ,it will move to the next level (rectangle) , normally this rectangle is place that progress sample , add things in , calculation and so forth. Thus , flowchart is using this few "shape" to move deeper or more futher understanding. At the last we will arrive the goal or exit of the task.

Flowchart is important in processing , it make us understand the problem or how we solve it , and bring us go deeper to the task really going on.

How will it help your users to meet interactive goals ?

It's a guide that tell user the direction to the goals , such as mobile icon and information , it show us the massage, eg. user hope to go to he photo , the 1st scene will show home - gallery - photo. This is a flowchart we make before actually launch to the user . We plan all the run way , solution , user test and so forth . Thus ,follow the intruction we make and user can have a clear view to his goals, just like the flowchart (a video clip say- it tell us what to do , don't case why just do it.

Hi everyone I m Pebble, nice to meet u . Most of people will think why name pebble ? a stone ? .The first thing can decribe me is the little girl in the middle ,name pebble is in the cartoon -Flinstones . When i will still a baby , my aunty give me the name pebble due to she like the little baby in Flinstones , she is cute . So after that i use pebble as my nickname untill now . So now we all know the reason . I like diamond , i think mostly of the female like diamond too. It is the hardest natural material , it also known as forever love . I hope i will be as strong as it is and brighten my future.

I living in tropical rain forest , i alway hope to live in a period of time at a country that have four season . Feel the season changing , the natural grow and the fall , the enviroment be cover by white snow . We see different landscape in the same place such the picture above.

Someone tell me "u look like a ball ". Is not because of i'm round is due to the start of my new life by study at TOA . My home is far from sunway , so i went to place that near by my college and live there , I only go back to my home at saturday . At the new semester , i change my living place again , but still the area . A small room but many thing , when need pack up is really a stress and need alot of time . Move here and there just like a ball been kick and play around.

I feel like I'm an glass. I learn alot of knowledge in few category , i use to know alot , but somehow i will feel empty , just like a glass of water , it look like full of water , but it also look like empty grass too. No matter how hardworking on that thing , but when i look back i still feel empty that what has i learn from the thing . Empty empty empty ...

A friend said i had this feeling is due to i didn't aware that i already improved greatly in the category, compare with other we will see the different in before and after.

Cherry full of vitamin , iron and so forth.It iron contents is higher than strawberry, jujube and apple .It provide healthy skin , so it know as beauty fruit . I like it's color and it's juicy. It's one of my favourite fruit.

I use airplane to describe me is because of I like travel . I hope that i can travel the whole world , see the world by my own eyes . Understand the culture and taste their food .

This is piano+iphone=iano, i find from google . I like music , techno music and pop songs . I learn piano when i was 6 years age old ,and i learn violin in these few year ago. Play piano is one of a way that can release my stress and feeling . I like to play a song in my own way , such as ignore the beat and add key in it that i want and just play out the feeling at the moment . That 's cool and relax. Try it , it feel good when u in bad mood rather than play out a pieces properly that need to follow anything to make it perfect... OH NO....too stress for me. GO!! ROCK IT !!!

I like japanese foods alot ,especially cold soba .I like the cold feeling when i ate soba. It feel fresh and different taste with other hot noodle. I feel like i am a cold soba , due to not everybody will accept the cold noodle because it cold and not the original image that a bowl of noodle sure be ,but so how i think when taste it properly u maybe will like it .It taste good indeed. XD

I do not like to eat candy or sweet things but i like the color n cute design for candy and cupcake, it make me feel happy n feel relax when see things cute or funny . The cupcake above i find it at google , it full of childhood , the color is in light tune and i like light color rather than dark ,it feel stressless to me.
